FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

A New Beginning for the International FL3TCH3R Exhibit

PLEASE POST & SHARE THIS ANNOUNCEMENT AMONG
YOUR NETWORKS!

Johnson City, TN

Dear Stakeholders, Supporters, and Friends of the FL3TCH3R Exhibit,

The International FL3TCH3R Exhibition ultimately emerges with a gift of positive and forward‑looking news despite numerous censorship challenges initiated by conservative actors during the Fall 2024 presentation of the long‑running International FL3TCH3R Exhibit at the ETSU Reece Museum in Johnson City, Tennessee. Following repeated attempts to curtail or cancel the project, the exhibit has secured a renewed future through a new collaborative partnership with The Fischman Gallery in downtown Johnson City, Tennessee.

Throughout this period, the co‑directors remained steadfast in their commitment to identify new partners and to advance the exhibition’s core mission. Predominately the mission has been to remember and honor Fletcher H. Dyer and his legacy who is the co-director’s son and brother, all while providing an inclusive platform for artists whose work sustains and expands the dialogue he inspired. The exhibit’s supporters demonstrated unwavering solidarity, energy, and confidence in the power of art to provoke reflection and foster change. Their continued advocacy—together with Fletcher’s enduring personal mission—has been central to sustaining the exhibition and its purpose.

Looking ahead, the co‑directors are eager to continue this work alongside the FL3TCH3R family of artists, patrons, and supporters—stronger, more unified, and more resolved than ever along with The Fischman Gallery’s generous offer to share the journey.

Additional details will be announced in the coming months regarding a newly envisioned presentation of the International FL3TCH3R Exhibit, tentatively scheduled for July/August 2026 at its new home, The Fischman Gallery in Johnson City, Tennessee. The exhibition team is appreciative of this gift and excited to begin this next chapter and deeply values the opportunity to collaborate with The Fischman Gallery upon this fresh new beginning.
